It’s already 2025, happy new year everyone 🥳. I know that it’s too late to say that, but hey! At least I say that, lol.
If you are a long-time reader, you might have noticed that my Website looks so different from the last time you saw it. Yes, I’ve changed my design to look cleaner and simple.
Not only that, I also switched from full WordPress to Next.js + Headless WordPress; why do I do that?
Okay, I will break down some of the questions and explain why you should switch to.
Performance of Next.js
This might not surprise you, and you may notice that this Website doesn’t load as much as it used to. Well, it is because I switched to an awesome Front-end Framework named Next.js.

This is a no-brainer for me to switch from bloated front-end WordPress to Next.js.
You can do that too on WordPress, but I noticed there are some aspects you can’t do on PHP. This is one of the reasons I switched my stack from “heavy” WordPress to Next.js.
More Secure than Traditional WordPress
We can argue about it, but let’s be clear here: this is one of the most convinced me to switch from traditional WordPress to Headless WordPress + next.js as front-end.
You have no idea how many attacks I receive from an attacker in one day; it is enough for me to review their intention from my “little” and low-rank Website 🥹.
But, from my experience, most of them are just doing it for fun, or if they are serious, they’ll make your WordPress site their robot to attack the server or someone else computer.
I’m not joking; I’ve done that once on my own site, and it convinced me to learn cybersecurity on a level server, tho.
Ready to take millions request
I switched from VPS to Edge server; why do I do that? Of course, my site can serve you faster, and I want to handle a million requests simultaneously (Please don’t do that; I can only serve 20 Million user requests at best).
While my site can do that, my monthly plan must be upgraded then 😄.
But, as long as my site only handles 10-15 million users per month, it’s still a beast.
And, If shortly I do advertising, at least my site won’t be broken like yours, lol 😙.
WordPress headless is the future
This may sound absurd, but I believe that WordPress should be treated as a CMS, no more and no less.
This will keep the performance, and the security is more secure than we have a lot of plugins installed in one place 😌.
However, as long as you follow the best practices and enhance the security, it “should” keep your site away from the attacker.
Are you ready to switch?
Not everything is fit for Your needs, but if you are ready to take your Website to the next level for:
- You need more control of your Website.
- Need a website that can handle millions of requests.
- Want a more secure WordPress site?
Then, it’s time for you to switch from traditional WordPress to Headless WordPress + Next.js! If you don’t have an IT to help You, I can help you to upgrade it 😎.
